Gregoria "Gollita" Arellano, una amada esposa, madre y amiga, falleció el 30 de noviembre de 2023 en North Hollywood, California. Nació el 19 de agosto de 1965 en Mexicali, México. Su esposo sabía que por muy difícil que hubiera sido su día, siempre podía contar con Gregoria esperándolo pacientemente en casa. Su apoyo y amor inquebrantables le brindaron consuelo después de sus largas horas de trabajo. Su vínculo era inquebrantable, una encarnación del verdadero compañerismo.

Gregoria era una mujer con un corazón lleno de alegría y bondad. Nunca dudó en ayudar a los necesitados y siempre encontró satisfacción en ser productiva. Ya fuera atendiendo su hogar o realizando otras actividades, ella creía en hacer que cada momento cuente.

Cocinar le brindaba a Gregoria un inmenso placer, especialmente cuando podía sumergirse en recetas tradicionales mexicanas descubiertas en YouTube. Un plato que le produjo especial deleite fue la sopa de albóndigas, que no sólo saboreaba sino que también disfrutaba compartir con familiares y amigos.

A lo largo de su vida, Gregoria tuvo varios logros que le enorgullecieron. Obtener la ciudadanía estadounidense había sido durante mucho tiempo uno de sus sueños: un testimonio de su resiliencia y determinación. Además, ser una madre cariñosa para sus tres hijos (Martín Eduardo, Juana Cristina y Karina Alejandra) le produjo un inmenso orgullo. El amor y el aliento de Gregoria fueron fundamentales en sus esfuerzos y ella se regocijó por cada logro que lograron. También estaba inmensamente orgullosa de su esposo, Porfirio Arellano Flores, por su amor inquebrantable y por brindarles un hogar cálido y amoroso a su familia.

La batalla de Gregoria contra la insuficiencia renal durante los últimos dos años desafió su fuerza pero nunca desanimó su espíritu. Soportó innumerables tratamientos de diálisis con notable resistencia y mostró un inspirador nivel de fortaleza. Desafortunadamente, su lucha llegó a su fin cuando tuvo dificultades para respirar en sus últimos momentos. Se llamó a los paramédicos, pero a pesar de sus esfuerzos, Gregoria falleció pacíficamente con su esposo a su lado.

Sus familiares y amigos sobrevivientes extrañarán profundamente a Gregoria. Sus recuerdos siempre traerán calidez a nuestros corazones. Su padre José Martínez y su madre Delia Rivera siempre llevarán el amor que compartieron por su hija.

Gregoria had a zest for life and found joy in the simplest of pleasures. One of her favorite pastimes was strolling along Venice Beach, basking in the warmth of the sun. Additionally, being a nurturing mother to her three children—Martin Eduardo, Juana Cristina, and Karina Alejandra—brought immense pride to her heart. Gregoria's love and encouragement were instrumental in their endeavors, and she rejoiced in every achievement they made. She was also immensely proud of her husband, Porfirio Arellano Flores, for his unwavering love and for providing a warm and loving home for their family.

Gregoria's battle with renal failure over the past two years challenged her strength but never dampened her spirit. She endured countless dialysis treatments with remarkable resilience, displaying an inspiring level of fortitude. Unfortunately, her struggle came to an end as she faced difficulty breathing in her last moments. Paramedics were called, but despite their efforts, Gregoria passed away peacefully with her husband by her side.
