Anthony Robert Farrell, lovingly known as Tony, passed away unexpectedly on August 22, 2026, in Canyon Country, California. He was born on February 9, 1950, in Twin Falls, Idaho.
Tony was a man whose presence was not easily forgotten. Charismatic, dependable, and deeply honest, he stood firmly in his convictions and believed in telling the truth, even when it was difficult. He knew when life called for seriousness, but he also appreciated quiet moments to himself and the peace that came with simply reflecting and enjoying his surroundings.
One of the greatest passions of Tony’s life was music. He attended North Hollywood High School and later studied music at Valley Community College. As a gifted professional trumpet player, Tony had the remarkable opportunity to perform on important stages and alongside celebrated artists, including Elvis Presley and Ray Charles, and even performed for President Ronald Reagan. Music was far more than a profession to Tony it was part of who he was. His love for the trumpet remained with him throughout his life, as did the special bond he shared with his fellow musicians, whom he truly loved, admired, and adored. The friendships and memories formed through music held a very special place in his heart.
Away from the stage, Tony found joy in the simple pleasures of everyday life. He enjoyed playing games such as bingo and Rummikub, going to the movies from time to time, and staying busy around the house, even if it meant something as ordinary as cleaning the pool. He appreciated companionship, laughter, and the familiar routines that made life meaningful.
Above all else, Tony loved his family very much. His family was at the heart of his life, and the love he had for them was deep and unwavering. Of all his blessings and accomplishments, Tony often said that his proudest was marrying his beloved wife, Isis Kamal Farrell. He considered Isis a gift from God, and his love and devotion to her remained one of the most meaningful parts of his life.
Tony leaves behind a family who will forever carry his memory in their hearts. He is survived by his beloved wife, Isis Farrell; his sons, Anthony Farrell Jr., Hany Hanna, and David Hanna; his daughter, Carrie Farrell; his daughter-in-law, Christina Hanna; his mother, Teala Rosemary (Bellini) Percin; his father, Wayne Long; and his grandchildren, Joseph Hanna, Zander Farrell, Jeremiah Hanna, and Jianna Hanna.
He was preceded in death by his son, Michael Hanna, whose memory remained forever close to Tony’s heart and an important part of the family he loved so dearly.
Tony’s life was filled with music, integrity, devotion, friendship, and love. He touched the lives of those around him through his strong character, his musical talent, his loyalty, and the genuine love he carried for his family and friends. His trumpet may now be silent, but the music, memories, and love he gave throughout his life will continue to live on in the hearts of everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
